Celebrating our avid readers!

Excitement mounted in the library this week as our two teams (four students in each team from Years 7 to 9) eagerly waited to join the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire online regional heat for the Senior National Reading Champions Quiz. This is an annual aspirational event run by the National Literacy Trust, which recognises and applauds more than 2,000 keen readers each year across the UK. Students are quizzed on their book knowledge over ten fun themed rounds. Huge congratulations to the eight students who represented St George’s – your positivity, collaboration and teamwork was absolutely amazing!
