Year 7 Maths Team Challenge

A massive well done to our three Year 7 teams who competed in the Herts for Learning Team Maths Challenge on Tuesday 24th March. It was a huge event with over 100 teams taking part, and the competition was incredibly stiff.

All twelve students involved did a brilliant job representing St George’s School. A special shout-out to Olivia, Sienna, Cheval and William S in Team 1, who finished in 16th place with 157 points—missing out on the final by just a single point! A huge congratulations also to William J, Hordii, Zachary, Caden, Edward, Olive, Sophie and Benjamin in Teams 1 and 2, who put in an excellent performance to take 24th and 51st place.

Placing two teams in the top 25 out of over 100 schools is an outstanding result. Well done to everyone involved for their hard work, excellent team work and sharp problem solving skills!
